Lake Texoma Fishing Report :: Fishing Through A Pandemic

Posted on March 19, 2020

A lot is happening in the world right now and much uncertainty has arisen.  It is unknown what will happen with the global economy, whether there will be food on the shelves at the super market, and it is unknown whether this virus will spread to our own community and how it will affect us.  Entertainment venues and dine in reatraunts are closed and school is suspended indefinitely.  The times are indeed strange and there is change in the wind.

Through all of this, what I can depend on is my ability to catch fish and grow food in our garden. Working the soil and casting a rod serve well to give peace of mind to provide for the future by your own hands.  For spring is here after all, the weather is warm, the flowers are blooming, andthe fish are biting.

The fish in Texoma are most plentiful and we will see no shortages of our supply here. We are doing well fishing with sassy shad cranked along the bottom in shallow water 8-15 ft. deep around structure.  All of the fish we are catching right now are fat and healthy with most in the 2-3 pound range.  Bringing home a limit of fish is not hard to do on most days but sometimes we do have to work for them to make it happen.

This is my livelihood and how I feed my family so I will continue to fish as long as I am able.  I'll be happy to take out anyone that is willing.  We will do our best to fill the freezer and we will certainly make some lifelong memories.  You can book your trip online at www.stripersinc.com or give me a call at (903)815-1609 and I'll get you setup.  Feel free to call if you have any questions.

Stay safe out there!
